Regular Season Round 26: Gran Canaria - Zamarat 88-76

An interesting game took place in Las Palmas where higher ranked Zamarat (10-16) was upset on the court of twelfth ranked Gran Canaria (9-17) 88-76. The game was mostly controlled by Gran Canaria. Zamarat was better in third quarter 22-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gran Canaria shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 55.6 percentage. American guard Robyn Parks (183-92, college: VCU) orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Patricia Cabrera (176-91, agency: Josep and Nicolas) contributed with 30 points for the winners. Gran Canaria's coach Fermin Bosa used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Polish forward Daria Mieloszynska (188-83, college: Texas, agency: Interperformances) replied with 24 points and British forward Ella Clark (190-92, college: Long Beach St.) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Zamarat. Gran Canaria moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Zamarat at the other side keeps the eighth position with 16 games lost.
