Regular Season Round 22: Koroivos - Olympiacos 70-87

A1 top team - Olympiacos (21-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they beat tenth ranked Koroivos (8-15) 87-70. The game was mostly controlled by Olympiacos. Koroivos managed to win second period 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Olympiacos dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Koroivos' 30. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Belgian guard Matt Lojeski (198-85, college: Hawaii) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 6 assists. Liberian-American power forward Othello Hunter (203-86, college: Ohio St., agency: David Lee services) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Timothy Bowers (188-82, college: Mississippi St.) replied with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and American-Guyanese Rawle Marshall (201-82, college: Oakland, agency: Beo Basket) added 16 points in the effort for Koroivos. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Olympiacos have an impressive 21-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 21-1 record. Newly promoted Koroivos dropped to the twelfth place with 15 games lost.
