The game in S'Arenal was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Ourense (17-8) played at the court of 8th ranked Palma (13-12). Ourense managed to secure a 7-point victory 87-80. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 20-13. But Palma won second period 25-24. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for guard Jose Salvador Arco (196-84, college: Forca Lleida) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points. Power forward Guillermo Rejon (206-77) helped adding 9 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Ourense's coach Gonzalo Garcia allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American point guard John DiBartolomeo (183-91, college: Rochester, agency: Duran International) with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Sergio Llorente (187-90) scored 16 points and 8 assists. Ourense moved-up to third place, which they share with Valladolid. Newly promoted Palma keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost. Ourense will play against bottom-ranked CB Prat (#15) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Palma will play against the league's leader Leche Rio Breogan (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
