The game was mostly controlled by Alexandria. Timisoara was better in third quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Timisoara to just 6 points in second quarter. Alexandria forced 24 Timisoara turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Alexandria made 9 blocks. It was a very good performance for American Morgan Stroman (185-91, college: Miami, FL, agency: Merit Management Group) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals. Her fellow American import guard Adrienne Webb (175-90, college: LSU) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Coach Madalin Piperea's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Serbian power forward Jefimija Karakasevic (191-89) answered with 8 points and 17 rebounds and Serbian Biljana Pesovic (180-83) added 11 points in the effort for Timisoara.
