Regular Season Round 26: Stal Ostrow - Znicz Basket 94-71
Date: March 29, 2015
Rather expected game when 5th ranked Znicz Basket (15-11) was smashed by third ranked Stal Ostrow (20-6) in Ostrow Wlkp. 94-71 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Stal Ostrow. Znicz Basket managed to win second period 29-27. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Center Wojciech Zurawski (202-76) notched 18 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and swingman Adrian Mroczek-Truskowski (192-85) supported him with 16 points and 4 assists. Five Stal Ostrow players scored in double figures. Even 16 points and 9 rebounds by power forward Adam Linowski (201-87, agency: Promotex) did not help to save the game for Znicz Basket. Adam Kaczmarzyk (198-88) added 16 points for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Stal Ostrow have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Sokol Lancut and Krosno. Loser Znicz Basket dropped to the fourth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Legia and Spojnia.
