A very interesting game took place in Manresa. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of higher ranked CB Canarias (11-15) to sixteenth ranked La Bruixa d'Or (8-18) 75-73 on Sunday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But CB Canarias won fourth quarter 22-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. La Bruixa d'Or shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. American point guard Davin White (186-81, college: CS Northridge) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points. Croatian forward Zeljko Sakic (204-88, agency: Beo Basket) contributed with 10 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. La Bruixa d'Or's coach Pedro Martinez allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Luke Sikma (203-89, college: Portland) replied with 8 points and 7 rebounds and Greek forward Fotios Lampropoulos (206-83) added 13 points in the effort for CB Canarias. La Bruixa d'Or maintains sixteenth position with 8-18 record. CB Canarias lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 15 games lost. La Bruixa d'Or's next round opponent will be higher ranked FIATC Joventut (#6) in Badalona and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
