Regular Season Round 24: Upea CdO - Grissin Bon RE 67-73
Date: March 29, 2015
Not a big story in a game in Capo d'Orlando where 13th ranked Upea CdO (8-16) was defeated by fourth ranked Trenkwalder RE (17-7) 73-67. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 20-10. But Upea CdO won third quarter 22-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for international forward Achille Polonara (203-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds. Lithuanian Rimantas Kaukenas (192-77, college: Seton Hall) contributed with 14 points for the winners. American-Jamaican guard Sek Henry (193-87, college: Nebraska) replied with 16 points and 5 assists and American forward Dominique Archie (200-87, college: S.Carolina) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Upea CdO. Five Upea CdO players scored in double figures. Trenkwalder RE moved-up to third place, which they share with Banco di Srd. Upea CdO lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth position with 16 games lost. Trenkwalder RE's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Umana Venezia at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. Upea CdO will play against AV Cantu (#9) and hope to win that game.
