Regular Season Round 27: Novipiu Casale - FCM Ferentino 84-59

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Novipiu Casale and 4th placed FCM Ferentino had identical 14-10 record. This time Novipiu Casale used a home court advantage and rolled over the opponent from Ferentino 84-59 on Sunday night. The game without a history. Novipiu Casale led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to FCM Ferentino's 32. Novipiu Casale forced 19 FCM Ferentino turnovers and outrebounded them 35-21 including 22 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for the former international power forward Niccolo Martinoni (202-89) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Andrea Amato (190-94) helped adding 13 points and 5 assists. Four Novipiu Casale players scored in double figures. Novipiu Casale's coach Marco Ramondino felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was naturalized Cameroonian center Paul Biligha (200-90, agency: Players Group) with 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and the former international forward Simone Pierich (200-81) scored 13 points. Novipiu Casale (15-10) moved-up to fourth place. FCM Ferentino lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with 11 games lost. Novipiu Casale will face Casalpusterlengo (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. FCM Ferentino will play against Agrigento (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
