Regular Season Round 27: Agrigento - C.de Latte BRE 82-72

There was a surprise result when eighth ranked Agrigento (14-12) defeated at home second-best C.de Latte BRE (19-6) 82-72 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 45-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for point guard Alessandro Piazza (174-87) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. American power forward Dave Dudzinski (206-92, college: Holy Cross, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) helped adding 16 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Justin Brownlee (201-88, college: St.John's) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Federico Loschi (198-90) scored 20 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Agrigento moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Trieste. Loser C.de Latte BRE keeps the second position with six games lost. Agrigento will face higher ranked FCM Ferentino (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. C.de Latte BRE will play against Givova Napoli (#12) and hope to win that game.
