Regular Season Round 26: Strasbourg - Le Mans 67-68

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Strasbourg IG (22-4) at the home court on Monday night. Hosts were edged by eleventh ranked Le Mans (13-13) 68-67. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Strasbourg IG. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-10. But Strasbourg IG won second period 15-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American Daniel Ewing (191-83, college: Duke) scored 21 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Rodrigue Beaubois (186-88, agency: Comsport) chipped in 11 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Le Mans players scored in double figures. Forward Jeremy Leloup (202-87, agency: Comsport) responded with 11 points and 4 assists and American point guard Louis Campbell (190-79, college: Buffalo) scored 11 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Le Mans moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Dijon and Gravelines. Strasbourg IG at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. Le Mans will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Strasbourg IG will play at home against SO Maritime Boulogne and is hoping to win this game.
