Quarter-Finals Round 3: Svendborg - Randers 106-91

Svendborg defeated Randers at home court and completed the sweep of the series. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 106-91. Svendborg made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for Argentinian-Italian point guard Antonio Porta (187-83, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 7 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). American point guard Johnell Smith (180-80, college: New Orleans) helped adding 18 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Five Svendborg players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American power forward Bonell Colas (205-82, college: Florida) with 35 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (on 15-of-19 shooting from the field) and the former international swingman Chris Nielsen (192-85) scored 23 points and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
