Regular Season Round 24: Maccabi H/H - Elitzur Yavne 97-84

Date: March 31, 2015
There was a small surprise in Hod Hasharon where tenth ranked Hasharon (11-14) defeated 8th ranked Elitzur Yavne (11-13) 97-84. The game was mostly controlled by Hasharon. Elitzur Yavne was better in third quarter 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by American guard Jeremy Allen (193-88, college: FIU, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who scored that evening 25 points (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!) and point guard Adi Cohen (178-93) supported him with 14 points and 7 assists. Allen is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even a double-double of 20 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists by American guard Mark Tyndale (196-86, college: Temple) did not help to save the game for Elitzur Yavne. Igor Mayor (198-93) added 25 points and 6 rebounds. Five Hasharon and four Elitzur Yavne players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hasharon moved-up to ninth place. Elitzur Yavne lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 13 games lost. Hasharon's next round opponent will be league's leader Ironi Kiryat Ata on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
