2Liga top team - AZS AWF K-ce (14-1) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they beat ninth ranked Nowa Sol (5-10) in Katowice 91-75. The game was mostly controlled by AZS AWF K-ce. Nowa Sol managed to win third quarter 25-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. AZS AWF K-ce looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Nowa Sol's players. It was a quality performance for guard Lukasz Szczypka (185-80) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 8 assists. Forward Kamil Nowak (197-88) accounted for 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. AZS AWF K-ce's coach Miroslaw Stawowski used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Marcin Chodkiewicz (200-82, agency: Promotex) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and Radoslaw Trubacz (196-94) added 19 points respectively for Nowa Sol in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. AZS AWF K-ce maintains first place in Group F with 14-1 record. Loser Nowa Sol keeps the ninth position with ten games lost. AZS AWF K-ce will meet Suchy Las (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Nowa Sol will play against Polonia Bytom and hope to secure a win.
