No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked JA Vichy (18-11) beat at home 15th ranked Cognac BB (9-20) 89-75 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by JA Vichy. Cognac BB managed to win third quarter 26-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. JA Vichy forced 19 Cognac BB turnovers. American power forward Steffon Bradford (198-77, college: Nebraska) nailed a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winning side and his fellow American import swingman Jason Williams (198-83, college: UTEP) accounted for 18 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. point guard Paul Turpin (190-93) came up with 18 points and 8 assists and Serbian forward Dejan Sencanski (198-84, college: Abil.Christian) added 23 points respectively for Cognac BB in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for JA Vichy. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Lourdes and Challans. Cognac BB lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with 20 games lost. JA Vichy will meet bottom-ranked CFBB (#16) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Cognac BB will play against Rueil and hope to secure a win.
