Rather expected game when 9th ranked Mondeville (9-16) lost on the road to sixth ranked Tarbes (15-10) 83-73 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Tarbes. Mondeville was better in second period 19-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Tarbes won last quarter 24-16. They made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for Greek forward Styliani Kaltsidou (188-83, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 4 assists. Loser Mondeville dropped to the tenth position with 16 games lost. Tarbes will face Union Hainaut (#13) in Saint-Amand in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mondeville will play at home against Lyon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
