Rist Wedel upset Leipzig on the road to advance into the semifinal series. SC Rist Wedel made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American point guard Diante Watkins (174-90, college: Robert Morris) who scored 26 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). The other American import swingman Brandon Spearman (190-91, college: Hawaii) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Spearman is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Center Marian Schick (204-86) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and American center Khalil Kelley (203-91, college: Pacific) added 14 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four USC Leipzig players scored in double figures.
