Osnabruck made it into the semifinal stage following a road win over Opladen. The game without a history. Osnabruck led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding SG BBZ Opladen to just 6 points in second quarter. Osnabruck made 22-of-28 charity shots (78.6 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 SG BBZ Opladen turnovers. American point guard Angela Pace (178-87, college: Robert Morris) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). The other American import forward Alysa Horn (182-90, college: Alaska-Anch.) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Four Osnabruck players scored in double figures. Center Mareike Nettersheim (186) replied with 12 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Nicole Nesbit (165-92, college: UCSB) added 11 points in the effort for SG BBZ Opladen. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games.
