BG 89 Avides cruised past Donau-Ries to force the decisive third game in the series. The game was mostly controlled by Rotenburg/Scheessel. TH Wohnbau Angels was better in second period 14-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rotenburg/Scheessel dominated on the defensive end, holding TH Wohnbau Angels to just 2 points in first quarter. They held TH Wohnbau Angels to an opponent 22.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 40.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Rotenburg/Scheessel forced 20 TH Wohnbau Angels turnovers and outrebounded them 52-36 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. American power forward Kierra Mallard (190-90, college: Texas Tech) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. Czech guard Katarina Flasarova (171-85) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Rotenburg/Scheessel's coach Christian Greve felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Canadian power forward Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe (188-91, college: Simon Fraser) replied with 9 points and 10 rebounds and American Melissa Jeltema (175-88, college: Oakland) added 6 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for TH Wohnbau Angels.
