The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 32-15 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for American forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 14 rebounds. The former international swingman Naoto Tsuji (185-89) helped adding 24 points and 4 assists. Toshiba Thunders' coach let to play all 12 players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American power forward Clint Chapman (208-89, college: Texas, agency: APAA Sports Group) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and international power forward Kosuke Takeuchi (206-85, agency: APAA Sports Group) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Five Dragonflies players scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains third place with 32-13 record having seven points less than leader Hitachi SR which they share with defeated Dragonflies. Newly promoted Dragonflies keep the third position with 27 games lost. Toshiba Thunders will face Tsukuba R. (#6) at home in the next round. Dragonflies will play against Toyota Alvark and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
