Regular Season Round 32: Rotterdam - Weert 84-58

Date: April 4, 2015
Rather expected game when 8th ranked Weert (4-22) was crushed on the road by fifth ranked Rotterdam (8-17) 84-58 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Rotterdam. Weert was better in fourth quarter 18-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Weert 46-33 including 33 on the defensive glass. Rotterdam looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Rotterdam made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Robert Krabbendam (213-86, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Court Side) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and guard Yannick Franke (194-96) who added 26 points (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) during the contest. Rotterdam's coach Armand Salomon felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international center Kenneth van Kempen (207-87, college: Ohio, agency: Court Side) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and the former international guard Jeremy Ormskerk (190-82, agency: Court Side) scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Rotterdam maintains fifth position with 8-17 record. Weert lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 22 games lost. Rotterdam will face Amsterdam (#7) on the road in the next round. Weert will play against Zwolle and hope to win that game.
