Regular Season Round 43: Kumamoto V. - Tochigi Brex 61-94

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Tochigi Brex (36-10) outleveled on the road 5th ranked Kumamoto V. (6-40) 94-61 on Saturday. The game without a history. Tochigi Brex led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Kumamoto V.'s 42. Tochigi Brex had a 36-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Kumamoto V.'s players. It was a great evening for American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international guard Yuta Tabuse (173-80, college: BYU-Hawaii) helped adding 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Tochigi Brex players scored in double figures. At the losing side American center Josh Warren (206-88, college: Troy) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds and forward Tenyoku Yo (194-88) scored 16 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Tochigi Brex. They maintain second place with 36-10 record having just two points less than leader Hitachi SR. Kumamoto V. lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 40 games lost. Tochigi Brex will face Hyogo S. (#4) at home in the next round. Kumamoto V. will play against Hokkaido L. in Saporro and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
