The most exciting game of round 28 in the A2 Gold took place in Biella. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of higher ranked Angelico Biella (15-12) to thirteenth ranked Sigma Barcellona (10-15) 79-76 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Angelico Biella. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 79-76. The former international power forward Luca Garri (207-82) fired 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Canadian-Jamaican swingman Jevohn Shepherd (196-86, college: Michigan) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Sigma Barcellona players scored in double figures. American swingman Benjamin Raymond (198-87, college: Xavier, agency: Inception Sports) produced 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Tommaso Laquintana (187-95) added 11 points respectively for lost side. Angelico Biella's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sigma Barcellona moved-up to twelfth place. Angelico Biella at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 12 games lost. Sigma Barcellona are looking forward to face league's second-placed C.de Latte BRE in Brescia in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Angelico Biella will play on the road against Givova Napoli (#13) and is hoping to win this game.
