Regular Season Round 27: Gravelines - Cholet 90-71

Very expected game when 15th ranked Cholet Basket (10-17) was rolled over on the road by eleventh ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (14-13) 90-71. The game was mostly controlled by Gravelines-Dunkerque. Cholet Basket was better in second period 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for American center Graham Brown (205-84, college: Michigan) who led the winners and scored 14 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). International swingman Pape Sy (200-88) accounted for 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Five Gravelines-Dunkerque players scored in double figures. American forward Nick Minnerath (206-88, college: Detroit Mercy) came up with 24 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import point guard Paul Delaney (188-86, college: UAB) added 18 points and 9 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for Cholet Basket in the defeat. Gravelines-Dunkerque moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams. Cholet Basket at the other side keeps the fifteenth position with 17 games lost. Gravelines-Dunkerque's next round opponent will be Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#13) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. Cholet Basket will play against Limoges CSP Elite and hope to win that game.
