Very expected game when 10th ranked Casalpusterlengo (11-16) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Novipiu Casale (16-10) 65-51 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Novipiu Casale. Casalpusterlengo managed to win fourth quarter 14-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Novipiu Casale dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Casalpusterlengo's 24. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Senegalese forward Abdel Fall (202-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and the former international power forward Niccolo Martinoni (202-89) who added 16 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Cuban Howard Sant-Roos (200-91) responded with 12 points and 4 steals and forward Giampaolo Ricci (200-91) scored 10 points. Novipiu Casale maintains fourth position with 16-10 record. Newly promoted Casalpusterlengo keeps the tenth place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Lighthouse TR. Novipiu Casale will meet at home higher ranked Manital Torino (#3) in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Casalpusterlengo will play against Lighthouse TR (#11) in Trapani and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
