Everything went according to plan when tenth ranked Mondeville (10-16) beat at home 12th ranked Lyon (5-21) 77-72 on Saturday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 25-16. But Lyon won second period 20-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Mondeville looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Courtney Hurt (185-90, college: VCU) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Belgian point guard Julie Vanloo (172-93, agency: Josep and Nicolas) chipped in 15 points and 8 assists. Mondeville's coach Romain Lhermitte used a ten-player rotation in such tough game.
