Regular Season Round 21: Ensino - Valladolid 89-83
Date: April 4, 2015
No shocking result in a game when second ranked Maquinaria Ensino (17-4) beat 11th ranked Universidad de Valladolid (3-18) in Lugo 89-83 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 54-39 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Maquinaria Ensino dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Universidad de Valladolid's 30 and made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Universidad de Valladolid 43-31 including 17 on the offensive glass. Chilean center Tatiana Gomez (193-81, agency: Josep and Nicolas) contributed with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Maquinaria Ensino's coach Pepe Vazquez used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Center Noelia Pariente (183-96) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and Pilar Rio Marco (172-92) added 24 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Universidad de Valladolid.
