There was an upset when higher ranked Blusens Monbus (12-15) was rolled over on the road by seventeenth ranked Sevilla (8-19) 86-60 on Sunday. The game without a history. Sevilla led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Blusens Monbus' 26. Sevilla had a 27-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Willy Hernangomez (210-94) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. New Zealand guard Kirk Penney (196-80, college: Wisconsin, agency: Duran International) chipped in 15 points. Four Sevilla players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Brazilian point guard Rafael Freire Luz (188-92) who recorded 10 points and American forward Keaton Nankivil (203-89, college: Wisconsin) added 10 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sevilla moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with La Bruixa d'Or. Loser Blusens Monbus keeps the tenth position with 15 games lost. Sevilla will face higher ranked Laboral Kutxa (#7) in Vitoria in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
