Regular Season Round 28: Clinicas Rincon - Oviedo 88-86

Important game to mention about took place in Malaga. Fourteenth ranked Clinicas Rincon (7-19) saved a 2-point victory at home edging higher ranked Oviedo CB (11-15) 88-86 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Oviedo CB. It looked good early as Oviedo CB took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Clinicas Rincon had a 39-24 second period charge getting the lead and Oviedo CB was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 86-88. Clinicas Rincon shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. The winners were led by the former international power forward Ricardo Guillen (207-76, agency: Duran International) who scored that evening 41 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Alfonso Sanchez (198-87) supported him with 14 points and 5 assists. Even 32 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by Serbian Nikola Cvetinovic (203-88, college: Akron, agency: Octagon Europe) did not help to save the game for Oviedo CB. American forward Beau Levesque (200-91, college: St.Mary's, CA, agency: Duran International) added 19 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Clinicas Rincon have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourteenth position with 7-19 record. Oviedo CB at the other side keeps the tenth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Coruna. Clinicas Rincon will play against higher ranked Planasa NV (#6) in Pamplona in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Oviedo CB will play at home against Ourense (#3) having rather not much hope for a victory.
