American point guard Cameron Wells (186-88, college: Citadel) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Cuban swingman Yorman Polas (192-85) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Giessen 46ers' coach Denis Wucherer allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Bradley Tinsley (191-89, college: Vanderbilt) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and his fellow American import John Eggleston (203-88, college: Pennsylvania) added 5 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for MLP Academics Heidelberg.
