Gotha stepped closer to the next stage as they handed the second straight defeat to Jena. American center Will Reinke (208-90, college: Oklah.Christian) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized American point guard Brad Loesing (182-89, college: Wofford) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Oettinger Rockets Gotha players scored in double figures. American point guard David Hicks (183-88, college: LIU Brooklyn) responded with 28 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Brady Morningstar (190-86, college: Kansas, agency: Interperformances) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
