BG 89 Avides snatched a road overtime win over Donau-Ries and sealed the semifinal appearance. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 17-14 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 5-point victory in overtime. It was a great evening for American power forward Kierra Mallard (190-90, college: Texas Tech) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Her fellow American import forward Ashley Arlen (187-90, college: Wayne St., NE) helped adding 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Rotenburg/Scheessel players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Canadian power forward Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe (188-91, college: Simon Fraser) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 18 rebounds and American guard Alysha Womack (170-91, college: Monmouth) scored 23 points and 4 steals.
