Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Ironi Ramat Gan (14-11) won against on the road 8th ranked Elitzur Yavne (11-14) 91-85 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 31-21 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Elitzur Yavne was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Kwame Vaughn (190-90, college: CS Fullerton) who helped to win the game recording 41 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. Point guard Oded Shaashoua (186-82, agency: Avi Zilberman) contributed with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American-Nigerian forward Chris Udofia (198-92, college: Denver) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Mark Tyndale (196-86, college: Temple) added 10 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Elitzur Yavne. Four Ironi Ramat Gan and five Elitzur Yavne players scored in double figures. Elitzur Yavne's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ironi Ramat Gan maintains sixth place with 14-11 record. Elitzur Yavne lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 14 games lost. Ironi Ramat Gan will face league's leader Ironi Kiryat Ata at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Elitzur Yavne will play against the league's second-placed Hapoel Migd.H. (#2) in Tarshicha and hope to win that game.
