Regular Season Round 25: Ramat Hasharon - Hapoel Kazrin 83-68

There was an upset when higher ranked Hapoel Kazrin (13-12) lost to thirteenth ranked Hasharon (8-17) in Ramat Hasharon 68-83 on Tuesday. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 46-26 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Hasharon looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Martin Samarco (190-85, college: Bowling Green) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Point guard Tamir Blatt (180-97) contributed with 16 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Hasharon players scored in double figures. Hasharon's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Germain Jordan (198-86, college: Dillard) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Ron Sabag (182-90) added 17 points in the effort for Hapoel Kazrin. Hasharon moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Maccabi Raanana. Hapoel Kazrin lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 12 games lost. Hasharon will face higher ranked Hasharon (#10) in Hod Hasharon in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
