Leader Marinos delivered the nineteenth win on Wednesday night. This time they crushed 10th ranked Gaiteros (3-20) 104-84 in Maracaibo. The game without a history. Marinos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 61.5 percent from the field. Marinos looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Gaiteros' players. The best player for the winners was American swingman Aaron Harper (203-81, college: Mississippi) who scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international point guard Gregory Vargas (180-86, agency: Paris Global Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Nigerian-American power forward Reggie Okosa (208-80, college: La Salle) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and American guard Tierre Brown (188-79, college: McNeese St., agency: Haylett Sports) added 21 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains first position with 19-4 record. Gaiteros at the other side stay dead last with 20 lost games.
