Quarter-Finals Round 2: Wuerzburg - Bamberg 56-66

Bamberg defeated Wuerzburg on the road and sealed their semifinal appearance. The game was mostly controlled by Don Bosco Bamberg. Ladybaskets Wuerzburg was better in third quarter 13-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Ladybaskets Wuerzburg 48-24 including a 33-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Lyndi Thorman (190-90, college: UTSA) notched 24 points to lead the effort and center Nadjeschda Ilmberger (187-96) supported her with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Even 17 points by guard Eva Barthel (173) did not help to save the game for Ladybaskets Wuerzburg. American power forward Caitlin Chiaramonte (-80, college: Fordham) added 17 points for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
