The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Den Bosch as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Den Bosch smashed 8th ranked Weert at home 80-61. The game was mostly controlled by Den Bosch. Weert was better in third quarter 26-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Weert to just 6 points in first quarter. Den Bosch dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Weert's 34.
