Quarter-Finals Round 3: Giessen 46ers - Heidelberg 80-68

Giessen 46ers held off Heidelberg to take 2-0 lead in the quarterfinal series. It was a great evening for Cuban swingman Yorman Polas (192-85) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Naturalized American guard T.J. DiLeo (190-90, college: Temple) helped adding 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Giessen 46ers players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American John Eggleston (203-88, college: Pennsylvania) with 17 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Kelvin Martin (195-89, college: Charleston So.) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
