An interesting game for Hyeres-Toulon (22-6) which played road game in Denain against 4th ranked Denain Voltaire (17-11). Second ranked Hyeres-Toulon managed to get a 4-point victory 75-71. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Denain Voltaire. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Denain Voltaire won third quarter 18-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hyeres-Toulon made 24-of-27 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American Davante Gardner (203-91, college: Marquette) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import forward Kyle Spain (196-87, college: San Diego St.) supported him with 16 points. Even 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by power forward Jerome Cazenobe (203-89) did not help to save the game for Denain Voltaire. American swingman Austin Hollins (193-91, college: Minnesota) added 16 points for lost side. Denain Voltaire's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Hyeres-Toulon have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Loser Denain Voltaire keeps the fourth place with 11 games lost. Hyeres-Toulon will meet at home Chorale de Roanne (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Denain Voltaire will play against Angers BC (#18) and hope to secure a win.
