Dunav 8806 fired past Haskovo 2012 in the opening game of the semifinal series. The game was mostly controlled by Dunav 8806. Haskovo 2012 managed to win second period 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Dunav 8806 dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Haskovo 2012's 36. They outrebounded Haskovo 2012 40-25 including a 32-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Kristina Santiago (185-89, college: Cal Poly - SLO, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 7 rebounds. The former international Radostina Dimitrova (185-85) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Dunav 8806's coach Georgi Bozhkov felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ukrainian center Anna Kiriyenko (190-93) answered with 20 points and 9 rebounds and Ukrainian guard Olga Dubrovina (170-87) added 16 points and 6 assists in the effort for Haskovo 2012.
