Undefeated leader Ostioneros de Guaymas delivered the fourth consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 5th ranked Fuerza Guinda Nogales (2-2) 100-77. The game was mostly controlled by Ostioneros de Guaymas. Fuerza Guinda Nogales managed to win fourth quarter 26-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ostioneros de Guaymas well out of reach of Fuerza Guinda Nogales shooting 202.4 percent from the field. They outrebounded Fuerza Guinda Nogales 37-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. Ostioneros de Guaymas shot the lights out from three sinking 31 long-distance shots on high 238.5 percentage. Worth to mention a quality performance of American center Jerome Habel (208-85, college: San Diego St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds (on 16-of-10 shooting from the field) and the other American import guard Gregory Howard (193-89, college: Walsh) who added 28 points (on 15-of-11 shooting from the field) during the contest. Howard is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side Paul Reyes responded with 22 points (on 23-of-7 shooting from the field) and American Kenny Jones (198-84, college: Kentucky St.) scored 16 points and 4 blocks (on 19-of-6 shooting from the field). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ostioneros de Guaymas have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Loser Fuerza Guinda Nogales dropped to the fourth place with two games lost.
