The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Kyoto Hannar. as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Kyoto Hannar. smashed 6th ranked Shimane Magic at home 96-69. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Shimane Magic. Kyoto Hannar. made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Kyoto Hannar. looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Ryan Forehan-Kelly (196-80, college: California) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Four Kyoto Hannar. players scored in double figures. Forward Bingo Merriex (206-80, college: TCU) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Wesley Witherspoon (205-90, college: Memphis) scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Shimane Magic at the other side keeps the sixth place with 29 games lost. They share the position with Gunma and Fukushima. Shimane Magic will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Kyoto Hannar. will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Shimane Magic at home.
