Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Alba Chorzow (3-14) was defeated at home by second ranked Nysa Klodzko (12-4) 63-52 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 63-52. Nysa Klodzko dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Alba Chorzow's 20. Strangely Alba Chorzow outrebounded Nysa Klodzko 39-26 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Szymon Kucia (194-83) who helped to win the game recording 10 points and 9 rebounds and guard Czeslaw Radwanski (188-80) who added 12 points during the contest. Nysa Klodzko's coach Marcin Radomski used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Power forward Marcin Weselak (204-79) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Patryk Piatkowski (198-95) scored 14 points. Nysa Klodzko maintains second position in Group F with 12-4 record having just three points less than leader AZS AWF K-ce. Loser Alba Chorzow keeps the tenth place with 14 games lost. Nysa Klodzko will face Mickiewicz (#5) in Katowice in the next round. Alba Chorzow will play on the road against Kalisz (#6) and hope to win that game.
