Scooore League top team - Oostende (23-3) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat sixth ranked Okapi Aalstar (13-13) 90-74. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 51-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Oostende outrebounded Okapi Aalstar 38-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. International guard Quentin Serron (190-90) notched 23 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and international center Khalid Boukichou (208-92, agency: Beo Basket) supported him with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Four Oostende players scored in double figures. Oostende's coach Dario Gjergja used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 22 points and 5 rebounds by American forward Tyren Johnson (202-88, college: La-Lafayette) did not help to save the game for Okapi Aalstar. His fellow American import point guard Rotnei Clarke (183-89, college: Butler) added 17 points and 4 assists. Defending champion maintains first position in League with 23-3 record. Loser Okapi Aalstar keeps the sixth place with 13 games lost. Oostende will meet league's second-placed Limburg United on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Okapi Aalstar will play against Belfius Mons-Hainaut (#3) and hope to secure a win.
