Regular Season Round 31: Quimper - GET Vosges 80-73

There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Quimper UJAP (13-16) defeated at home higher ranked GET Vosges (16-13) 80-73 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 8 points at the halftime before their 47-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Quimper UJAP shot 32 for 44 from the free-throw line, while GET Vosges only scored fourteen points from the stripe. GET Vosges was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American center Will Creekmore (205-89, college: Missouri St.) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import guard Jahsha Bluntt (198-84, college: Delaware St., agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Four Quimper UJAP players scored in double figures. Forward Raphael Wilson (195-89) produced 12 points and 5 rebounds and guard Gilles Duro (190-88, agency: Octagon Europe) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Quimper UJAP maintains fourteenth place with 13-16 record. Newly promoted GET Vosges dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. Quimper UJAP will face higher ranked La Rochelle (#13) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
