Very important is a road loss of second ranked Mitsubishi Dolphins (25-21) against fifth ranked Chiba Jets (29-17) on Saturday night. Visiting Mitsubishi Dolphins unexpectedly were defeated by in Chiba 66-72. Mitsubishi Dolphins trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 25-20 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 66-72 at the end of the game. Chiba Jets forced 19 Mitsubishi Dolphins turnovers. The best player for the winners was American forward Justin Burrell (207-88, college: St.John's) who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The other American import power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. Chiba Jets' coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Senegalese-French forward Amath M'Baye (206-89, college: Oklahoma) produced 20 points and 5 assists and American forward Brendan Lane (206-90, college: Pepperdine) added 12 points and 13 rebounds respectively for the guests. Chiba Jets maintains fifth position with 29-17 record. Mitsubishi Dolphins lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the second place with 21 games lost. Chiba Jets will face league's leader Aishin Sea Horses in Kariya in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
