Rather predictable result when fifth ranked Osaka Evessa (26-21) defeated at home 8th ranked Takamatsu FA (14-33) 75-71 on Saturday. Takamatsu FA was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. They outrebounded Takamatsu FA 40-29 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Osaka Evessa looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. Forward Joshua Dollard (203-86, college: USC Aiken) scored 22 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Seth Tarver (196-88, college: Oregon St., agency: Interperformances) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Power forward Benjamin Puckett (205-83, college: Clayton St., agency: I.D.S. Law) responded with 22 points and swingman Dexter Lyons (198-81, college: Cent.Florida, agency: I.D.S. Law) scored 10 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Takamatsu FA's coach Kenzo Maeda rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Osaka Evessa maintains fifth position with 26-21 record. Loser Takamatsu FA keeps the eighth place with 33 games lost. Osaka Evessa will face again Takamatsu FA (#8) at home in the next round.
