Regular Season Round 24: Nice - Aulnoye 81-61

LF2 top team - Nice (21-3) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Aulnoye (9-15) 81-61. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Aulnoye. The game was mostly controlled by Nice. Aulnoye managed to win fourth quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 26-of-32 free shots (81.3 percent) during the game. Nice forced 23 Aulnoye turnovers. The best player for the winners was American forward Shenita Landry (188-87, college: Temple, agency: Two Points) who scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Canadian-Dutch Janelle Bekkering (180-88, college: Gonzaga) chipped in 11 points and 5 assists. Nice's coach Rachid Meziane used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Carole Leclair (185-89) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and guard Anais Deas (165-87) added 14 points and 5 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Nice have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 21-3 record. Newly promoted Aulnoye keeps the eleventh place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Le Havre. Nice will meet Le Havre (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Aulnoye will play against CFBB and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
