Bottom-ranked Stabill Jezioro managed to get a seventh victory, breaking the series of six consecutive loses on Saturday night. This time they won against eleventh-ranked Anwil in Tarnobrzeg 83-75. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 24-18. But Anwil won second period 23-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for U.S. Virgin Islands center Craig Williams (206-89, college: TCU, agency: SDJ Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. American point guard Josh Miller (170-87, college: W.Virginia St.) helped adding 21 points and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was naturalized German forward Konrad Wysocki (200-82, college: Princeton) with 18 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Deonta Vaughn (185-86, college: Cincinnati) scored 14 points and 8 assists. Five Stabill Jezioro and four Anwil players scored in double figures. Stabill Jezioro (7-20) moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Wikana-Start and Polpharma. Anwil lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 17 games lost. They share it with MKS DG. Stabill Jezioro will meet higher ranked AZS Polfarmex (#10) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Anwil will play against Slask where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
