Quarter-Finals Round 3: Veilchen - Wolfenbuettel 68-51

Veilichen held off Wolfenbuettel in the decisive third game of the series and paved their way into the North Finals. The game was mostly controlled by Veilchen. Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel managed to win third quarter 16-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel to just 6 points in second quarter. Veilchen forced 19 Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel turnovers. It was a great evening for American power forward Nicole Jones (188-89, college: Drexel) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 19 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Monique Smalls (168-91, college: Texas Tech) helped adding 23 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Canadian forward Raelyn Prince (191-88) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds and Polish forward Klaudia Grudzien (184-90) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
