Regular Season Round 24: Avenir - Limoges 70-69

The most exciting game of round 24 in the LF2 took place in Chartres. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 4th ranked Limoges (14-9) to seventh ranked Avenir (12-11) 70-69 on Saturday evening. Limoges was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Avenir forced 19 Limoges turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Noemie Lemaire (187-88) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Magali Mendy (177-90) who added 15 points, 7 assists and 4 steals during the contest. The best for the losing side was American guard Krystal Vaughn (185-86, college: VCU) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 17 rebounds and guard Manon Sinico (180-85) scored 23 points. Avenir moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Reims. Limoges at the other side keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. Avenir is looking forward to face SIG (#10) in llkirch-Graff. in the next round. Limoges will play at home against Charnay (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
